An ambiguous figure emerges from darkness, performing a series of dances and gestures.

Using the language of everyday digital exchange, two shadow figures partake in a relentlessly mannerly conversation as responses progress into estrangement.

YOUR MOUTH
Your Mouth is a live shadow performance using the Karagöz style of shadow theater. On the front of the screen hangs a static sculpted mouth, while on the inside the performers’ hands gesture in unfamiliar choreography.
The piece combines puppet and body, teeth become objects, hands become characters, and the mouth becomes a stage.
Performed as a final for my Shadow Theater course at the University of Connecticut during my Puppet Arts Masters program in 2025.
EVERYTHING LOOSE ALL THE TIME
Everything Loose All the Time is an exploratory reinvention of relationships formed through the creative "birthing" process. Anneta, the pregnant spider, will be guided by her garnered community of bugs toward a miraculous birth.
