MADDIE SHUBECK

is a video artist, filmmaker, and puppeteer from Detroit Michigan. She graduated from College for Creative Studies in 2021 with a BFA in Entertainment Arts.

In her work, Maddie explores the humor in chaotic and colorful imagery, while displaying the media in a childlike presentation. She concentrates on abstracting and fragmenting big and small concepts through animation styles, puppetry performances, and art installations.

She hopes to connect to the internal unworldly playfulness of the viewer, and show them a new lens of observing through "dead" media, video distortion, and chance.
